1.A. Naive- Showing a lack of wisdom, experience, or knowledge. 1.B. The young child was very naive, but she will learn later. 1.C. When I was young I was very naive of the world, I didn't understand it very much. 2.A. Niche- A place or position. 2.B. I knew I found my niche when I became a vet, it was my dream job. 2.C. It is hard for many college students to find their niche in life. 3.A. Obliterate- To destroy utterly, or wipeout. 3.B. We watched the football player obliterate his opponent. 3.C. We watched the Indians obliterate the Cubs in the World Series. 4.A. Gratify- To give someone pleasure or satisfaction. 4.B. I seemed to gratify the teacher when I turned in the project early. 4.C. A way to gratify your boss is to work hard. 5.A. Infinite- Goes on forever. 5.B. The amount of numbers is infinite, so it goes on forever. 5.C. In math we learned that the number of numbers is infinite. 6.A. Coefficient- the numerical factor of a term 6.B. Exasperate (verb) - irritate intensely; infuriate. 12.B. He wanted to exasperate his sister when she babysat him. 12.C. I made my mom very mad. 13.A. Fiasco (noun) - a thing that is a complete failure, especially in a ludicrous or humiliating way. 13.B. It was a fiasco when no one showed up to the event. 13.C. The classroom activity was a failure. 14.A. Garnish (verb) - decorate or embellish (something, especially food). 14.B. We had to garnish our dish when we were finished. 14.C. We repainted the room to make it look nicer. 15.A. Heritage (noun) - property that is or may be inherited; an inheritance. 15.B. My mother left me heritage for when she dies. 15.C. I inherited my grandpa's truck when he died. 16.A. Plate- The Earth's crust comprises many plates that slide over a lubricating asthenosphere layer. 16.B. Plates cause earthquakes by rubbing against each other 16.C. Cause earthquakes 17.A. Ring Of Fire- Major area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean where a large number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur. 17.B. For vacation we went through the ring of fire, we were all glad nothing bad happened. 17.C. A group of volcanoes. 18.A. Pangea- A hypothetical supercontinent that included all current land masses, believed to have been in existence before the continents broke apart during the Triassic and Jurassic Periods. 18.B. Scientists think all the contienets were a pangea, but we are unsure. 18.C. A supercontinent 19.A. Isostatic Rebound- is the rise of land masses that were depressed by the huge weight of ice sheets during the last glacial period, through a process known as isostatic depression. 20.B. Denotation - the literal or primary meaning of a word, in contrast to the feelings or ideas that the word suggests. 25.B. 25.C. When someone says, "You're a dog." You are litreally a dog.
