Before career day, I had my mind set on being a vet. Ever since I was little I always wanted to be a vet, but now I think I might want to be a video game designer. Career day has opened my eyes to other jobs that fit what I like. They also introduced the topic of money. They showed us how much things would cost, and how important money is to your future. We spent a lot of money on things like food, housing, insurance, cars, etc. We learned money is hard to keep track of, and life doesn't always go your way.
Going to the reality store was fun and very helpful. It taught me money is a huge part of your adult life, and you need it to help pay for your kids and survival needs. It showed some of the challenges of being an adult. It made me realize that the little things you buy make a huge impact on your budget. You have to plan ways to save a certain amount of money for certain things. It was very hard to keep track of how much money we spent. It showed me how easy it was to go into debt and how most people need to get a second job. The afternoon speakers helped me get an understanding of the jobs I was looking at doing when I was older. We learned how there are many colleges to go to, and many jobs available. We learned how important it was to go to college if you wanted to have a better career. Did you know that if you go to college, your first few years you will make less money than someone who didn't go to college. Even though you make less when you're young. When you get older you will make more money. Going to college is important to getting a great job with a great pay. I came out of career day with more knowledge of what the real world is like.

As president, Hillary Clinton will make the environment healthier. According to Newsela.com, Hillary Clinton wants to make the environment more healthy. “We are not giving enough money or attention to clean water has put Americans all over the country in danger. Failing water systems pose health risks to humans and wildlife, hurt ecosystems and unfairly affect communities of color.” She wants to put action into pollution standards that clean our air, save families money, and fight climate change. By making the environment healthy America will be more healthy and safe. According to Hillary Clinton, us Americans aren't giving enough money to clean water. We will create a lab that will allow more clean water. We will focus on global warming and work to stop that. Donald Trump thinks there should be no gun control laws. According to ontheissues.org, Donald Trump believes guns are necessary for self-defense and has written that he generally opposes gun control. It’s often argued that the American murder rate is high because guns are more available here than in other countries. Donald Trump believes Democrats want to confiscate all guns, which is a lie. Democrats want to expand background checks. Donald Trump lies by saying, “Democrats want to confiscate all guns.” All Democrats want to do is expand background checks and make them better. Democrats want to make sure guns do not get into the wrong hands. This will make America safer. Even though the 2nd amendment states we have a right to bare arms. We just want to make background checks better, and people on the terrorist watch list cannot buy guns. Hillary Clinton wants to make healthcare more affordable. According to 2016election.procon.org, "Affordable health care is a basic human right." Hillary Clinton claims. “The Affordable Care Act isn't perfect, but the evidence is clear: it's working. Sixteen million Americans have gained coverage. Millions of young people are able to stay on their parents' plans.” “Insurance companies can no longer discriminate against people with preexisting conditions or charge women higher rates just because of their gender.” I've fought for the promise of quality, affordable health care for every American for decades. And I'm not going to stop now. Anyone seeking to lead our country should stand up and support this decision." Hillary Clinton thinks that the “Affordable Care Act” has a few mistakes, but it has gained coverage of millions of people. Hillary Clinton fought for women's right. Hillary Clinton knows that the Affordable Care Act isn’t perfect, but she knows that it helps American. Companies will no longer discriminate against people. Hillary Clinton will make America safer, healthier, and make gun control laws. That will help America reduce mass shootings. She doesn’t believe in war like Donald Trump. I support the people who don't want to add soda taxes. I support these people because some small business might rely on that money to stay in business. If they add a tax they will have to pay more to get the goods they need to sell. People buy drinks from small businesses, and that's how they get the money to stay in business. If they raise tax on sugary drinks, most people will buy less drinks and the small business will loose money. In the article the author states, "They claim this will hurt small businesses and customers struggling to survive in one of the country's most expensive places."
